Billboard reports that Jay Z, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have signed on to coproduce the musical. We love Fela (we just had a Felabration) so we hope this added publicity from some heavy weight backers helps more people discover just how influential and inspirational Fela’s music was.
