‘Executions in Progress’ and other humorous signs

I think we all know how hard it can be to learn a new language, but there’s no denying that sometimes those freshman mistakes can be unintentionally funny and sometimes downright poetic. I can’t tell you how many times I used preservatif (which means condom in French) thinking I was saying preserves.  Lets just say I’ve asked a lot of French people if I could get some strawberry flavored condoms on my croissants.
