New York Times Brunches At SOBs

“S.O.B.’s offers an impressive three-course, bossa nova brunch on Sundays for $26.99 per person, including all the sangria you can stomach and entrees like barbecued salmon, banana-stuffed French toast and feijoada, a succulent stew of pork, beef and black beans. Tinkling, tropical bossa nova is provided by the Brazilian musician Nanny Assis, who’s usually leading a trio. The vibe is mellow — the large, airy dining room is lighted by paper lanterns, and a projection of swaying palm trees transforms the wall behind the stage — but hardly staid.”

Ours is the best of the musical brunches, but of course, we’re partial. The unlimited sangria doesn’t hurt either. Read the rest here.
